FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Gov. Steve Beshear has released details of his plan to raise more money for the state and Kentucky's horse industry by allowing video slots at racing tracks.

Beshear says the proposed legislation calls for the Kentucky Lottery Corp. to oversee slots, which would be limited to horse racing tracks.

Beshear has ordered lawmakers to consider the legislation and other budgetary matters during a special session that begins Monday.

A statement from Beshear says the gambling plan would generate $360 million in upfront license fees, and produce millions more in revenue in subsequent years.

Some money would go to help the equine industry in the state, and some would help plug the projected $1 billion hole in the state's budget next fiscal year.

The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission voted unanimously to support the proposal on Tuesday afternoon.
