(WHAS11) - Arson investigators are looking into a fire at Genny's Diner in Clifton overnight.
The fire broke out after midnight in the rear of the building on Frankfort Avenue, where the kitchen is. At one point there were flames about 20 feet high from the fire.
The fire caused extensive damage to the back, but there were no injuries.
This is the second time there has been a fire at a property owned by Frank Faris. In early 2007, the historic home next door to Genny's Diner was ruled arson, but no one was ever charged in the case.
Faris had been battling preservationists in his efforts to tear down the home at the time.
