Spending at restaurants is in a rut. Many people are cutting back on dining out.

Now restaurants are making some changes just to stay open.

At Avalon, they are making decor changes; moving to a more casual style they say is more inviting. They are also cutting prices some to lure more people into their business. They say their profits have risen 40 %

The new Aspen Creek Restaurant says their business is also on an upswing. They say it is all about price. "We have about 60 items and 50 of them, or so, are below ten dollars. Obviously the decision was based with the economy today, trying to get people in to enjoy a nice meal that is made from scratch that is below $10 is something they can't get anywhere else."

And at Cafe Metro, they are providing more than just a nice meal; some entertainment while you are dining. They say wine tasting and classes are giving people a reason to eat at their establishment.
