(WHAS11) -The Louisville Courier-Journal says 15 employees are being laid off, and other open positions are not being filled.
Gannett, which owns the Courier, is eliminating one-thousand jobs nationwide.
In a memo to local employees, the Courier's brand new publisher, Arnold Garson, said layoff notices will be completed by August 27th.
Severance packages will be offered to those affected, and he is not guaranteeing this is the end of it. Future revenue, he says, will determine that.
