Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The Fourth of July celebration on Louisville's waterfront will go on but there will be a few cutbacks due to the tight budget.

Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson says the event will still be free and there will be fireworks both July 3rd and 4th.

Fifth Third Bank is still the title sponsor but funding has been reduced.

Officials say they are scaling back on some children's activities and on how much to pay for musical talent this year.

The mayor says they still expect about 150,000 people to this year's celebration.

WHAS11's meteorologists Jamie Martin, Ben Pine and Reed Yadon will be emceeing the celebration.
