(WHAS11) - Hundreds of friends, family and mourners filled the Lampton Baptist Church to say goodbye to three of the teens killed in that crash.

It was a heartbreaking morning for the community just two days before Christmas.

Many squeezed inside paying a silent tribute to the three brothers in life and together Tuesday in death.

Many of the people on hand were just children themselves, who knew twins Jemar and Demar Claybrooks and their younger brother Marc.

The hugs helped but didn't erase the pain.

Still the nagging question all quietly pondered was why?

It's a question whose answer remained elusive as the coffins of the teens made one last journey past those who knew and loved them.

There is one more funeral coming, that for the fourth teen in the car that was killed; 15-year-old Aaron Shields. That's scheduled for Friday.

Visitation for Arron Shields will be Christmas nightfrom 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the New Zion Baptist Church.

Herbert lee is the 16-year-old charged with four counts of murder in the deaths of the Claybrooks and their friend Arron Shields.

Authorities say that he did not have a driver's license.

Along with the murder charges he's also charged with evading police and auto theft.
