BREMERTON, Wash. - The owner of Barista's Chicagoland Caf was warned this week that employees were violating city code by wearing pasties, according to a press release from the City of Bremerton.
The city says it received several complaints about the baristas' attire, and police officers confirmed the reports.
The city code in question regards "lewd conduct" in a public place.
After the owner was notified of the violation, the city says baristas switched to wearing bikinis and similar attire which doesn't violate regulations. No citations were issued.
The caf, located at 601 Naval Avenue, is one of several Western Washington espresso stands and venues that have been under fire for barely dressed baristas.
Officials in Mason County recently forced the baristas at Belfair's Espresso Gone Wild to cover up.
