Early Wednesday evening, Trooper Nathan Abbott made a routine traffic stop and with the help of his K-9 "Kilo" made a major drug bust.
After pulling over a 1997 Volvo station wagon with multiple traffic violations, Abbott of the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg walked "Kilo" around the vehicle.
The dog then alerted Abbott of possible narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle recovered 15 grams of suspected Cocaine inside the car and an additional 5 grams of suspected Cocaine on the male passenger.
The man, James M. Riley, also had an outstanding warrant in Clark County, Indiana.
Of the two other passengers in the car, the driver, Eugene Lamaster, was found to be in possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Ritalin, and a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone and a female passenger, April Barrett, was also charged with Dealing Cocaine.
All three were incarcerated in the Clark County Jail awaiting their first court appearance.
