(WHAS11) - A Bullitt County Task Force says they've made their biggest meth bust yet. $1 million worth of meth is off the streets after a drug bust in Bullitt County over the weekend.
Police say three pounds of 100% pure crystal meth was seized over the weekend, along with 43 handguns and rifles.
Jose Pizarro, 37, of Louisville was arrested in Bullitt County. Police say they found one pound of the drug when Pizarro was arrested and another pound of meth was found inside his Louisville home on Blake Lane in Valley Station.
A second man, Michael Walker, 48, of Shepherdsville was also arrested and charged with trafficking.
Police say they found the third pound of the meth at Walker's home.
Police believe the pure meth was being prepared to be cut and distributed thru Bullitt and Meade Counties as well as Louisville and southern Indiana.
Police in Bullitt County say they are exploring additional leads from the bust that could lead to more arrests.
