(WHAS11) - Police in Bullitt County say they've nabbed a robbery suspect, but not before an officer shot him.
It all happened in Shepherdsville Thursday morning.
Police say John Hall robbed the Cash Express on 44 in Shepherdsville.
They believe he's the same guy that robbed the place on Friday and Thursday police were ready for him.
They were dramatic moments Thursday morning in this normally quiet business area.
"The man come running across the street and he ran behind the building that's where he had his car parked as they shot him over at the sides of the building here," Kim Goldsmith.
"I just seen two guys running around the corner of the building then I heard a loud band I knew that was a shot," Rob Combest.
Employees close by witnessed the whole thing unfold.
Police tell WHAS11 News that a suspect robbed the cash express on highway 44 this morning.
Police say the suspect ran behind a strip mall across the street, an officer chased him, police say the suspect pointed a gun at a civilian and that's when the officer fired a single shot striking the suspect.
Shepherdsville police had set up surveillance outside the Cash Express after another armed robbery on Friday.
Witnesses say what happened Thursday was a repeat of last week.
The suspect, John Hall, is expected to be okay.
Louisville Metro Police are looking at hall to see if his possibly connected to any robberies in the city.
