LONDON, Ky. (AP) -- The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating a fourth robbery that has occurred in less than two weeks in the southern part of the community.
A statement from Sheriff John Root says the latest robbery occurred Sunday night at a gas station off Interstate 75 near exit 29. According to the statement, a lone male armed with a semi-automatic pistol took an undisclosed amount of money from the attendant and fled on foot.
Root said it is not known if the robbery is connected to three others that have taken place in southern Laurel County in the past 11 days.
Deputies are continuing to investigate.
