LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Weather officials say a tornado touched down in southeastern Kentucky but caused little damage.

Forecaster Tony Edwards of the National Weather Service office in Jackson told the Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/1uBbXOw ) that an EF-1 tornado carrying winds of around 75 mph touched down in southern Leslie County for a minute or so Sunday.

There was some damage to trees, but no other harm was reported.

Officials said earlier Monday that there didn't appear to be any touchdowns in the state.

In Lexington, storms damaged more than a dozen homes. Trees and fences were brought down, and power was cut to about 26,000 homes and businesses in central Kentucky.
