MAYSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The one-time head of a northeastern Kentucky drug task force has been set for trial in February on charges that he defrauded the organization out of money.

The Maysville Ledger Independent (http://bit.ly/1jtelkF) reported that former Buffalo Trace/Gateway Area Narcotics Task Force Executive Director Timothy G. Fegan will face a jury in federal court starting Feb. 10 and could face prison time as well as be forced to forfeit up to $98,000.

Fegan resigned his position at the teask force in November 2012, after a spot audit of the agency's financials revealed discrepancies in the amount of buy money being handled. A day after tendering his resignation, the task force board of directors voted to terminate his employment; the agency was officially dissolved effective June 1, 2013.
