LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Built Ford tough--the slogan remains the same.
"It's tougher, it's more capable, and it's smarter than any F-150 we've ever made," F-150 Consumer Marketing Manager Brandt Coultas said.
The 2015 edition of the number one selling truck in the region is turning heads at the Louisville Auto Show on Friday, Feb. 21. It boasts new technology and the truck is 700 pounds lighter than the previous F-150.
"The truck still has a high strength steel frame that's stronger, stiffer and lighter than ever. The body of the truck is made out of high strength military aluminum," Coultas said.
That means better gas mileage.
"Our customers are going to be able to tow more, haul more, and they're going to be able to do it more efficiently. The trucks [are] going to drive better. It’s going to stop shorter; it's going to accelerate quicker," Coultas said.
The 2015 F-150 will be available late in 2014.
