VINE GROVE, Ky. (PRESS RELEASE) – On Tuesday, June 11, at 8:21 p.m a Kentucky State Police trooper, Steve Oughton, responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the 600 block of Stanley Allen Drive in the Vine Grove community of Meade County.

Upon the officer’s arrival he discovered a ‘98 Plymouth Voyager van had backed up to a residence to unload household items.  Joseph Allison, 31, was unaware a 2-year-old, Brendyn Keisler, had climbed into the back hatch entrance of the van.

As Allison continued to back up Keisler fell out of the back and was ran over by the Voyager.  Brendyn sustained critical injuries to his head and neck and was flown to Kosair’s in Louisville with critical injuries.

He was pronounced dead at 7:17 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12.  Alcohol is not suspected to be a contributing factor.
