LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A shooting overnight at Garland and 18th streets has sent two men to the hospital.

Police are still investigating Tuesday morning after a 20-year-old and 18-year-old were shot Monday night.

Apparently, the two men were riding in a SUV that ran out of gas and they walked to a nearby gas station. Police said when they returned to the vehicle they were shot.

Police said there were a lot people around the area at the time of the shooting because of celebrations connected to the University of Louisville's NCAA championship win, but it is not clear at this time if the shooting is related to the celebrations.

Both men suffered non life-threatening injuries and are expected to be OK.

At this time police do not have any suspects. If you have any information about this shooting call the LMPD anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD.
