2 hospitalized, house burned to ground after domestic disturbance in Taylor Co.

Two were sent to the hospital after a domestic disturbance leads to a house fire in Campbellsville, Ky.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Black smoke took over the already gray and overcast sky Wednesday night while a home on the 600 block of Collins Lane in Campbellsville, Ky. was on fire. 

The house was laying nearly flat after it burned for several hours.    

The fire started after 6:00, according to Taylor County officials. Police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance, which police believe was a shooting at the home. Police told WHAS11 News that initially one injured person was rushed to the hospital, their condition unknown. 

Firefighters allowed the fire to burn itself out. They stood back while police tried to secure the scene and track down the male suspect.

Shortly after 8:00 p.m., an ambulance arrived and the suspect was loaded onto the stretcher, according to police. He is in custody at the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Multiple sources on the scene told WHAS11 News there was ammunition inside the home. 

Right now we have not confirmed the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
