LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Two Oldham County schools were temporarily placed on lockdown Thursday morning as a precaution.

A district spokesperson said Oldham County High School was put on lockdown at 9:30 and North Oldham County High School was placed on lockdown an hour later.

The exact reason for the lockdown remains unclear, but officials say there was a situation regarding a student and another person in the community, but not actually at the school.

Police in Oldham County are investigating.

The lockdown was lifted at 11:15 Thursday morning.
