LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville woman is facing exploitation and fraud charges after police said she "knowingly and willingly financially exploited a vulnerable adult for personal gain."

Rebecca A. Chesser, 31, was taken into custody Sunday after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

According to court documents, Chesser took advantage of a 69-year-old person who was dependent on her for daily care and assistance.

Police said Chesser used the victim's debit card to access personal bank accounts and opened a home equity line of credit in the victim's name without prior consent from the victim.

Chesser is accused of stealing more than $76,000 - she is charged with knowingly exploiting and adult by person greater than $300 and fraudulent use of a credit card $10,000 or more.
