(WHAS11) – Sixteen thousand women packed into Freedom Hall to hear from the former Vice-Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin.

But this time she skipped the politics to talk about faith.

Palin did not allow any media inside the event.

Her fan base is growing these days as the unofficial leader of the Tea Party movement, author and television host.

The national "Women of Joy" event is sponsored by a local contemporary Christian Radio Station. This is the only stop of the tour where Palin will speak.

Although the event had nothing to do with politics, former Representative Ann Northop says Palin is changing the debate in government.
