Wrong way driver crashes into UPS building, causes partial collapse

Judge denies lower bond for Brice Rhodes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11) -- One lane of Shelby and East Broadway is expected to be shut down for a week due to a crash causing a partial building collapse.

According to LMPD a man from out of town was driving the wrong way down Shelby Street when he hit a car and drove through the front door of the UPS Store.

The driver and passenger in the truck were taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.

The owner of the building says this is the 3rd time in 2016 the building has been hit.

Two architecture firms and a construction company are going to get fix the building by the end of Dec.1 and the packages will be be delivered on time.

No charges have been filed at this time.
