LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11) -- A Louisville man is dead after police said he crashed his motorcycle into a house early Wednesday morning.

The accident happened just before 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of Gladden Drive in Buechel when 42-year-old Charles Culliver ran off the road at the end of a cul-de-sac and into a home. Police said Culliver, who live on Gladden Drive, was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The homeowner, Mark Klimczek, said he felt numb and disconnected when he saw the man.

"I came outside and I saw this fella on our porch lying in a pool of blood, and was unresponsive. We had called 911 and there was nothing we could do," Klimczek said.

Police said a toxicology test will determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
