(WHAS11) - Kentucky State Police are looking for distracted drivers and they say they'll pull you over if you are texting and driving.
Kentucky's no texting and driving law went into effect on July 1st..
Right now officers say that they are under a grace period and if you're caught they will give you a warning.
It does present its own challenges but studies indicate that those who text and drive use a cell phone and drive often and exhibit some driving behaviors an intoxicated driver will have.
For example, they commonly weave down the roadway or make exaggerated movements while driving down the road.

Police say nearly 80% of crashes involve some form of distracted driving.
