LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Just after 7 p.m. on Friday LMPD said that a woman who was ejected from her vehicle in an accident on I-71 has died.
Police have now identified the famle victim as 45-year-old, Robin Brickey. She was pronounced dead around 8pm Friday night at University Hospital.
Police said a Brickey appeared to over correct her vehicle and lost control of her 2007 white Toyota Matrix. She was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected.
A male passenger, who was wearing his seat belt, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident. He was transported to University Hospital as well and is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol.
Police are still trying to detemine if the woman was intoxicated.
The identity of the male has not been released by LMPD.
