LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Louisville family held a celebration in honor of their loved one who died after a crash in hopes of getting the word out about seatbelt safety.

Sixteen-year-old Adrianna Woodring was involved in a crash on I-65 near Elizabethtown last month and was in a coma for weeks and passed away earlier this week from her injuries.

Family and friends held the celebration in Iroquois Park Saturday afternoon not only to raise funds for the family, but to get the word out about wearing seatbelts.

The family of Woodring are still looking for ways to pay for her funeral.
