SHELBY CO., Ky. (WHAS11) – Two people were killed in an accident in the 2300 block of Fisherville Road, near the Equestrian Estates Subdivision, early Friday, Aug. 22, in Shelby County .

According to the Shelby County Coroner’s Office, a Dodge Caravan had over corrected for an unknown reason and exited the roadway striking two large trees.

The Shelby County Coroner’s Office said one of the occupants was pronounced dead on the scene, that occupant was identified as 36-year-old Michael D. Harvill of Spencer County.

A second occupant was transferred by Shelby County EMS to UofL Hospital and was pronounced dead at the hospital during surgery. She was later identified as Juliana Bradlau, 19.

A third occupant was flown by Air Methods to UofL Hospital and reported to be in critical condition. 

Officials said none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts and speed is going to be a factor in this accident.

It is not known at this time if drugs or alcohol played a factor in this accident, the Shelby County Coroner’s Office said.
