LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Jewish Hospital unveiled its $5.3 million emergency room Thursday afternoon, marking the end of renovations that began in 2014.
The renovations include extra space, more exam rooms and a larger waiting room and registration area. The ER will also offer specialized services for hand care, heart health and pregnant women having an emergency. There is even a safe room for psychiatric patients in distress.
Also added to the new ER are rooms where patients can be held for observation and families can have a more privacy.
