Metro Police homicide detectives are questioning four adults in connection with the shooting death of Diana Wood and her son Steve Wood Junior.

The two were gunned down at The Whispering Woods Apartments in Southwest Jefferson County Thursday night.

The persons of interest, who have not been arrested or charged, yet, were picked up Tuesday morning by Metro Police and U.S. Marshalls.

Lieutenant Barry Wilkerson says police are hoping an arrest is imminent.

He says the people are in their 20's and 30's and detectives are trying to determine who's most directly involved.

This shooting allegedly stemmed from a fight between juveniles and escalated.

“There were several individuals that had conflict. And that's what we're trying to sort through.

There's probably two more main players that are involved and that's what we're trying to sort out. How directly involved each individual is,” said Lt. Wilkerson.

Again, no charges have been filed yet.
