St. Matthews Police are on the lookout for cell phone bandits that have burglarized two local malls in one month.

Wednesday, leaders from a business that's been hit hard are calling for the public’s help to catch the crooks.

The President of Operations for Integrity Wireless says about the burglarizes at Mall St. Matthews and Jefferson Mall total $36000 dollars in losses.

St. Matthews Police say what’s happened to this company is pretty unusual.

More than 100 phones stolen, 3 break-ins at Mall St. Matthews and two at Jefferson Mall all in the last month. The most recent happened Tuesday night.

“It’s ridiculous, I don't understand how someone can not notice especially in this area,” said St. Matthews Police.  “With the amount of noise its just unbelievable that nobody was able to be caught red handed.”

St. Matthews Police say all the break-ins happened overnight when the malls were closed.

Joseph Mackovic is with Integrity Wireless, which is a dealer for T-Mobile. He worries about security and doesn't know if what's happened is an inside job.

He also says he doesn't know what will happen if they are hit again.

“In 4 weeks, we've been hit 4 or 5 times in 2 malls. Obviously these guys aren't gonna stop, its gonna grow,” said Mackovic.

No arrests have been made.

A member of the cleaning crew at Mall St. Matthews said they saw three black men in the process of breaking into a kiosk Tuesday night.

WHAS11 tried calling management at Mall St. Matthews and the security department at Mall St. Matthews to ask about their security policies and no one returned our call.

Those with Jefferson Mall said they could not comment on their security efforts. Police tell us Mall St. Matthews does not have security cameras.
