My niece worked for a cell phone company in a local mall. Security guards at the mall told her they are not allowed to physically restrain or detain someone stealing. They can only try to call the police and report them. When a punk stole a car charger and ran security stood next to her and didn't move. She chased him down, kicked him in the crotch from behind and retrieved the item. No thanks to the mall security. Paying them is a waste of money if they can't act.

Seems a "wireless" company would be sophisticated enough to have surveillance - state-of-the-art camera surveillance.
