Football team working to impact community

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A great update regarding one of our #DoSomething stories:

In August we introduced you to Iroquois High School's head football coach, Christopher Peters. The Central High grad has planted roots in the city and is teaching his men life lessons on and off the field.

After his brother, NFL defensive tackle Corey Peters, got wind of the great work his brother was doing, he rallied some of his teammates to donate. But, their more than $2,000 donation was stolen during its delivery via FedEx.

Coach Peters sat down with Tabnie Dozier to bring us the new developments on Good Morning Kentuckiana.

If you’d like to donate to the football team to help with travel and uniform expenses, you’re encouraged to mail a check to Iroquois High School or stop by in person to meet the coach.
