NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A woman was killed overnight in an accident on Grant Line Road at the Interstate 265 interchange.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Police said a woman driving a Ford Escort was traveling north on Grant Line Road when she was making a left turn toward the I-265 west on ramp and was struck by a Ford Mustang traveling south on Grant Line.
The woman was not wearing a seat belt, police said, was ejected from the car and later died at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the Mustang was not injured and police said he had the right-of-way.
Police described the woman to be in her 50s but have yet to release her identity.
