NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A confessed serial killer was sentenced to 65 years for the murder of Karen Hodella in a Southern Indiana court on Thursday, April 17.

William Clyde Gibson admitted to killing Karen Hodella then putting her body along the Ohio River in 2002.

He's already been sentenced to death for killing family friend Christine Whitis.

An execution date has not been set. Gibson will face a third trial for the death of Stephanie Kirk.
