11-month-old involved in Harrison Co. accident dies at Kosair

HARRISON CO., Ind. -- The 11-month-old that was critically injured in a crossover accident in Harrison County, Ind. last week died on Wednesday, Dec. 18, according to an official at Kosair Children's Hospital.

The Harrison County coroner said 23-year-old Tory Krueguer was on his back to Missouri from Viriginia when the accident happened in Indiana and led to his death.

Krueguer served in the United States Navy and was based in Virginia.

Police said on Thursday, Dec. 13, that Krueger was driving his Nissan westbound on Interstate 64 and, for unknown reasons, crossed the median. The Nissan was t-boned by a SUV carrying a grandmother, a mother and her two children.  

Two-year-old Merissa Summer was also killed and the 11-month-old was pronounced dead on Dec. 18. Krueger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The children's grandmother, who was driving the SUV, and their mother, Kayla Yeager of Laconia, were not injured.
