NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A truck crashed through the architecture business of Michell Timperman Ritz on Monday morning around 9:30 a.m.

“It could have been ugly,” Larry Timperman said.

On a normal Monday the office is usually occupied with several workers, but most of them were not there at the time of the crash. One man, named Troy, happened to get up from his desk to deal with an internet problem, just moments before the crash.

Lane Stumler was working just a few feet away in the office and heard the truck collide with a car at the intersection of Bank and Spring before it ended up inside the business.

“The first thing I saw when I went outside was Troy and that was like seeing heaven on Earth seeing him standing there alive because he would have been gone,” Stumler said.

No one involved was seriously hurt. The side wall of the building is boarded up, but it is still structurally sound.
