CLARK CO., Ind. (WHAS 11) -- Texting while driving has lead to the arrest of a Southern Indiana man.
Indiana State Police said a trooper was behind a pickup on Intersate 65 Thursday and the trooper noticed the driver texting while driving, causing the truck to leave the roadway several times.
According to a news release, the trooper initiated a traffic stop and sensed "something was just not right with the driver." Upon searching the truck troopers said they found several controlled substances, including Hydrocodone, Xanax, and Opana as well as nearly $1500 in cash.
The driver, Johnnie Sizemore, aka “John-John”, 27, from Austin, IN was arrested at the scene and charged with Dealing in a Schedule Two Controlled Substance, B Felony; Possession of a Schedule Two Controlled Substance, D Felony; Possession of a Schedule Three Controlled Substance, D Felony; Possession of a Schedule Four Controlled Substance, D Felony (Two Counts); Possession of a Hypodermic Needle, D Felony; Possession of a Legend Drug, D Felony (Four Counts); Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony; and Texting While Driving, Infraction.
