MILTON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A 100-foot section of the new Milton-Madison Bridge is now in place over the Ohio River.
It took crews about two hours to get the concrete section into place.
Workers used jacks to lift a corner of the new bridge steel truss so that a steel bridge bearing that came out on Tuesday could be replaced.
A date has not been set for the rest of the bridge to slide into place.
The work was originally expected to start on Friday, March 14, but a bridge worker was injured on Tuesday, March 11, and the completion has been delayed.
The bridge is closed until further notice.
