VINCENNES, Ind. (AP) -- A southwestern Indiana museum dedicated to U.S. military history is preparing for a grand opening ceremony at its new location.

The May 31 ceremony will mark the completion of the Indiana Military Museum's move from its site outside Vincennes to a former glass factory building near the city's downtown.

Museum founder Jim Osborne tells the Vincennes Sun-Commercial that the grandson of World War II Army Gen. George Patton is among dignitaries expected for the ceremony that will include dedication of the F-4 Phantom fighter jet that the museum recently acquired.

The museum also plans special Vietnam War veterans events June 8-9 that will feature numerous re-enactors, encampments, equipment and vendors.
