(WHAS11) -- A Southern Indiana doctor is due in court Monday morning for a pretrial hearing.
OB-GYN, Dr. Paul Kelty, is facing multiple charges in Harrison County, including sexual battery and Medicaid fraud.
After patient complaints and an investigation police said Kelty inappropriately examined patients, over-prescribed painkillers to pregnant women, and committed Medicaid fraud.
Harrison County's prosecutor said Kelty, a 1978 graduate of University of Kentucky College of Medicine, may have prescribed more than one million hazardous pain-killing pills to pregnant women over a period of three years.
His trial starts later this year. A felony conviction would prevent him from practicing medicine.
We will have more about what happened in court coming up in our later shows.
