RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A teenage driver who survived a crash in Ripley County, Ind. will spend 90 days in a juvenile detention after he admitted to driving recklessly before the March crash that killed three.
The 17-year-old will also lose his driver's license until he's 21.
Witnesses said the teen was driving a pickup truck and was trying to beat a friend in a different car to an intersection. Three teens were killed when the truck and car collided, including the other driver.
All of the teens attended South Ripley High School in Versailles.
