COLUMBUS, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Realistic looking pellet guns are now against the law for kids in Columbus, Ind.
The Columbus City Council passed a law that prohibits anyone under 18 from carrying pellet guns that look like real guns.
The unanimous decision comes after a string of calls to police about people in public with guns that turned out to be toys.
A Columbus school went on lockdown, in 2012, after a boy brought a lookalike gun to school.
