WAYNESVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Many questions remain after four people were found dead in a Waynesville, Ind. home.
Tommy Smith and Kathy Burton lived in the home with Kathy's 27-year-old son, Daniel. The two were shot to death. Kathy was found in her bed. Smith and two friends, Aaron Cross and Shawn Burton, were found dead in the living room of the home. Kathy's son made the discovery Saturday night.
On Monday Smith's two sisters traveled from North Carolina to the crime scene. The pair describes him as very charismatic and a retired marine. Smith was engaged to Kathy.
Relatives of Shawn Burton said he would stay with Kathy and Tommy often.
As of Monday authorities had not made any arrests, and the crime scene was still be watched by deputies.
All day community members, family, and friends of the victims came to the crime scene. Some dropped off flowers creating a memorial.
The cousin of Aaron Cross spoke briefly and said, " Somebody ruined four people's lives...four families. It's just not right."
Smith's sister said they do want a quick answer, but rather the right answer.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office is expected to release new details about the quadruple homicide on Tuesday.
