Police: Guns and ammunition stolen from cruiser, 3 arrested

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Three Indiana men have been arrested in connection to a theft that occurred in Bartholomew County.

According to a police report, a Glock Model 21, which is a .45 caliber handgun, along with two fully loaded magazines and other law enforcement related items were taken from an Indiana State Police vehicle parked in Bartholomew County between 11 p.m. on August 25 and 8:30 a.m. on August 26.

Dustin Tays, 23, Robert Remboske, 33 and Ryan Melloh, 25, all of Columbus, Ind., have been arrested and are being held in the Bartholomew County jail, though no formal charges have yet to be filed, according to the report.

The stolen items have not been returned and details of the arrests are not being released, as the investigation is still ongoing.
