JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- The man wanted for shooting his wife in the leg turned himself in at the Clark County Jail Monday morning.

Police said the shooting happened at 813 Colonial Park Dr. around 1 a.m. last Thursday when Miller, 41, fired off three shots at his wife from a hand gun.

She was transported to the hospital after she was shot by her husband during an apparent domestic incident.

Police said it all started with an argument and Miller's wife went into the children's room, all under the age of four, to get away from Miller when he shot her. The wife was shot twice - one bullet to the thigh and one in her calf. After the shooting, police said Miller took off with the hand gun.

Miller has a history of domestic violence and had two emergency protection orders filed against him.
