INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating the shooting of an 11-year-old boy by his 13-year-old sister.
Police originally said they believed the boy, who was shot in his left forearm, had been the victim of a drive-by shooting. But Lt. Christopher Bailey says after further investigation police believe the sister accidentally shot her brother, but the investigation is continuing.
Police say the boy was shot about 9 p.m. Saturday. Police say the 11-year-old boy was taken to Riley Hospital for Children, where he was in stable condition.
Police say Child Protective Services has been called in.
