NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Hundreds of former and current students of New Albany High School are banding together to save their band director's job.

The school is in the process of dismissing band director Aaron Lambert. Nearly 900 signatures have been collected on a change.org petition – a petition band boosters said they plan to deliver to the school board at Monday’s meeting.

According to the petition, Lambert has been a good teacher and mentor to many students and should not be let go.
