INDIANAPOLIS (WHAS11) -- Legislation to expand mass transit in Indiana is facing roadblocks in the state senate. Republicans are questioning the cost of the proposed 10 year, $1.3 billion expansion.
It includes improving bus service and a rail project.
The bill was passed by the House on Monday, Feb. 25.
It would allow ten counties near Indianapolis to hold a referendum to let voters decide if they want to raise taxes to pay for their share.
