MADISON, Ind. (WHAS11) -- The weather just doesn't want to cooperate with the Madison Regatta this weekend.
According to the Madison Regatta Facebook page, the Ohio River is still too flooded to hold the races. It says the water is up over the pit area.
However the land events planned for the regatta still went on. Event organizers opened the gates to allow free admission on Sunday, July 7.
H1 drivers were there to sign autographs.
According to event officials, the regatta will not be rescheduled this year because the boats are now heading to Detroit for another race.
