BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Today marks three years since the disappearance of Indiana University student Lauren Spierer.
The 20-year-old vanished on June 3, 2011 after a night of partying with friends in Bloomington.
Police say they're still receiving tips. The Bloomington Police Department say the most recent tip about Lauren Spierer came in Thursday. It said Monday it has received 282 tips about her in the past year alone. It says investigators "remain hopeful that someone with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Lauren's disappearance will do the right thing by stepping up and contacting our agency."
No criminal charges have ever been filed in the case but investigators say they're still hopeful someone who knows what happened will step up and contact them.
