LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Jeffersonville bank robbery suspect is behind bars in Louisville after police caught up with him.
Louisville Metro Police arrested 50-year-old Benjamin Boswell Wednesday night.
Boswell was identified from surveillance video after Jeffersonville police said he walked into the Your Community Bank in the 2900 block of East 10th Street Monday where he handed a teller a note and walked out with cash.
According to a news release from the Jeffersonville Police Department, Boswell was taken into custody by the LMPD Viper Unit at a Circle K convenience store in the 4300 block of S. 3rd Street.
The release also states Boswell admitted to committing the robbery.
A Jeffersonville police officer responding to the robbery call was injured when his cruiser collided with another car at 110th and Main streets.
Emergency crews used the jaws of life to extract the officer from the cruiser and he, as well as the other driver, were transported to University Hospital. Both suffered non life-threatening injuries and are expected to be OK.
Boswell was arrested on a fugitive warrant and will be transported to Indiana where he will be officially charged.
